Erasmus+

Jedes Kind träumt davon, einmal die Welt zu sehen. Und jedes Elternteil freut sich darüber, diesen Traum erfüllt zu wissen. Deshalb wollen wir Erasmus als Gelegenheit betrachten, persönliche Erfahrungen zu gewinnen. Das mit EU-Mitteln geförderte Programm ermöglicht den Austausch zwischen Schulen verschiedenster europäischer Länder. Für uns Schüler des Friedrich-Engels-Gymnasiums im kleinen Senftenberg hieß das, vom Kulturaustausch-begeisterte Griechen, Franzosen und Italiener kennenlernen zu dürfen. Ziel war es, ein Schulkonzept zu finden, das Vorteile aller beteiligten Länder vereinigt und somit neue Anreize für die Weiterentwicklung unserer eigenen Schule bietet.

Reise- berichte

In den vergangenen Monaten haben sich die Schüler der einzelnen Partnerschulen zusammen in Computer-Kabinette gesetzt, um in Gruppen mit je einem Schüler aus jedem Land einzelne Thematiken wie z. B. Ganztagsangebote zu besprechen. Es fiel uns anfangs schwer, mit noch völlig fremden Leuten vom Small Talk in das tiefgründige Gespräch überzugehen. Schließlich waren nicht nur ein paar Tische, sondern einige hundert Kilometer zwischen uns. Es war uns jedoch gleich klar, dass alle interessiert an den Konversationen waren.

"I got to know a general feeling of the Sicilian way of living, which was a great experience. Despite the historical/ cultural facts that I learned during the project: I found out, that Sicilia is an Island, in which people love to live. They really enjoy their lives in a way higher level than Germans do. Even though the government does not have as much money for public projects (recovering streets or school buildings / garbage cleaning etc.) in charge as the German does, the people living there don`t show any sign of feeling less happy. But vice versa, I experienced so much happiness and joy of life, that it became a part of me."

"ERASMUS to me, consists of on the one hand getting to know new people and on the other hand working on drafting our ideal school. It was rather the getting to know that was the challenging part. Not only was there a certain language barrier, but there was also the general challenge of meeting new people. An obstacle that we all could thankfully overcome with the help of events that were initiated by our teachers, creating moments that we never had in our mind, visiting new places and furthermore simply giving us the freedom to choose what to do. Socializing to me is kinda hard, but the project as a whole definitely helped me grow as a person, given the fact that I am shy, I think ERASMUS provided a commendable amount of offers to experiencing the world of intercultural exchange."
